The 1992-1993 was, however, pri

with a recycling drive, which gave
community memebers an oppor

Some other activities included a
trip to the Lied Jungle, clean-ups of
the high school grounds, and an
environmental “scavenger hunt” in
honor of Earth day in April. As a
fundraiser, environmental t-shirts
were sold by club members. The
money raised was then used to
purcahse an acre of rain forest.
Green Club attempted to help
in many areas of environmental
concern. “I think we’ve really ac
complished a lot this year,” club
officer Ann Bertrang stated. “...I
think it’s really important to recog
nize the problems with the envi
ronment, and try to do something
about it. That’s what we try to do,
even if we can only help in small
ways.”
