High School is
in the dreams of
many children. GROWING UP
The dreams are
often of being a
cheerleader or a
football player.
“I want to go to high school. It will
be fun because I’m going to play
varsity football,” said Kent Fleming, a
first-grader.
“Ralston’s a pretty neat school. I
want to be a cheerleader,” commented
second-grader Susan Sgroi.
Being in the high school band is also
a dream of many six or seven-year-
olds.
“I want to grow up and be a flute
player in the band like my sister," said
first-grader Cory Alber.
"I want to be a majorette and march
in front of the band,” said first-grader
Sheila McCallan.
Although many were looking forward
to high school, a couple were not sure.
“Yes, I want to go to high school.
Well, I think so. My mom doesn’t like
me to go anywhere by myself. She
probably won’t let me go,” said
kindergartener Martin Peterson.
