THE MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSON I KNOW

Life is the most precious gift of God. Our life must be an example for others. We meet so many

people in our life. Some people influence us and leave an indelible impression on our minds. The
most influential person in my life is Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam. ‘The Missile Man of India’ is one of the

greatest personality of India. He was not only a great scientist but also a wonderful human being.

His ‘simple living and high thinking’ always inspires me. He was born in a very humble family.
During his childhood, he used to support his family by selling newspapers.

Lack of resources could never stop Kalam. They were never a barrier in his life. He worked hard in
his childhood and became a great aerospace scientist. He worked at ISRO and DRDO. He also

served our country as the 11 President. Despite being at the highest post of the nation, he was a

simpleton. His integrity and simplicity always inspire me. Science is my favourite subject and I
aspire to be like Dr. Kalam. His dedication and passion towards his work motivates me a lot. Even

before his death, he was delivering a lecture in Shillong. The list of his qualities is endless. If I can

imbibe even 10% qualities of his personality, I shall be grateful to God. People like Dr. Kalam never
die. They are always alive in our hearts.

Love you a lot Kalam Sir! A great salute to you and your dedication!
