INDIA, THE LAND OF MY DREAMS

India is a land of my dreams. I dream of India which is scientifically advanced, technologically

better and agriculturally developed. I would like to build an India where scientific and logical ideas
prevail over blind superstitions and fanaticism. The clear stream of reason should always flow in my

country and guide all Indians to be truthful, rational and honest. Selfish corruption and cruel
communalism will have no place in my dream India. My India would be self-sufficient in food, all

the barren lands would be cultivated as agriculture is the backbone of our economy. People of my

country would be environment friendly and would never progress at the cost of exploiting
environment and natural resources.

I would also strengthen the defence of my country so that enemy wouldn’t ever dare cast his

covetous eyes on my sacred soil. I would equip my country with modern defence system. I would
eliminate ignorance and illiteracy from my country. People would be educated on a mass-scale. It

would also strengthen the democracy as educated people are aware of their rights. I would make

provisions of food, housing and clothing for one and all in India of my dreams. For making my
dream come true, I would work hard and motivate others as well to be educated as education

empowers us. I am sure one day my dream would definitely come true and India would definitely

usher into an era of prosperity and development in all spheres.
