INDIA, THE LAND OF MY DREAMS
India is a land of my dreams. It enjoys a rich cultural heritage. People belonging to various castes, creeds,
colour and religion live peacefully in this country. However there are certain anti-social elements who try to
incite innocent and ignorant people to serve their selfish interests thereby disturbing peace in the country. I
strongly feel that only uneducated people become their victims and destroy their own lives by becoming the
puppets of such anti-nationals. Therefore, India of my dreams would be 100% literate. It should be a place
where different ethnic groups live in perfect harmony with each other.
I want the people of my country to understand the importance of education and ensure that children seek
education rather than becoming child labourers. I want all the children of my country to enjoy their
precious childhood just as I am enjoying. They should go to school, play and work for a progressive nation.
I don’t want the children to work at a tender age when they should hold pen in their hands. Every citizen of
my dream India would get a deserving employment opportunity. I dream of an India which is free from
corruption at all levels. It would be a place where the betterment of the country would be the sole agenda of
the government.
The country of my dreams would be a Clean and Green India. Citizens of this country would not only
ensure that their surroundings are clean but they would sanitize themselves mentally as well so that social
evils and ill-treatment of other citizens stops. I want to see a liberated India where women are treated with
respect and are given equal opportunities as men. It is sad to see how after proving themselves in every
sphere of life women are still exploited in India. There would be no gender discrimination in my dream
India. In a nutshell, India of my dreams would be a place where people feel happy and secure and enjoy a
good quality of life.
