INDIA, THE LAND OF MY DREAMS

India is the land of my dreams because there are so many religions, traditions and cultures followed

by people of India and yet they are one under the tricolor. Our country is very beautiful which is
endowed with rich cultural as well as architectural heritage. Beautiful and awe inspiring monuments

are found in different parts of India. It is the hottest tourist destination because of its ethnic diversity.

What makes India the land of my dreams are the wonderful monuments and buildings of historical
importance. The most beautiful monument of the world is in India. The Taj Mahal, a mausoleum

made of white marble and exquisite carvings is also the seventh wonder of the world. Situated on the

banks of the Yamuna in Agra, it is an architectural marvel. The world’s biggest tower is Qutub Minar
in Delhi which was built by the Mughal Emperor, Qutub-ud-din Aibak. I feel delighted and

overwhelmed whenever I visit the Jal Mahal of Jaipur. It is the most serene and majestic sight amidst

the chaos of Jaipur City which seems to float in the centre of the Sagar Lake. The Char Minar
situated in Hyderabad is also one of the most recognized and beautiful structures in India.

Jallianwalla Bagh is an unforgettable place which depicts the atrocities of Britishers on Indians. A

well with numerous skeletons and blood stained walls can still be seen here. The list of architectural
magnificence of India is endless. They are our pride and heritage. We must put in effort to protect

this extraordinary, vast and diverse pool of monuments and archeological sites as they are the
reminiscence of the living witnesses and testimony of the golden historic era of our country.
