                     This lesson will cover pages 25-34 of chapter 01.

               Lexile Range of Reading: 1010L-1100L

               Materials Needed:
                     Chapter 01
                     Notebook
                     Computer

               Objectives:
                     Define and understand what interpersonal communication is
                     Compare and contrast the models of interpersonal communication
                     Understand the ability to participate effectively in a diverse society

               Time: 50 minutes

               Overview:
               Instructor will review pages 09-25 of the text and use that review to lead into the next section of
               content. Students will break up into small groups and compare and contrast the models of interpersonal
               communication. One person in the group will need to document the discussion and turn it in at the end
               of class.

               Following the group activity, instructor will present the upcoming mock interview activity and give
               students 15 minutes of class time to research an entry level job related to their career interest. Students
               will need to have their job ideas ready to present during the next class.

               Activities:
                     Compare and contrast the different models of interpersonal communication.
                     Research an entry level job related to their career interest.
                     Read pages 25-34 of chapter 01 for homework.
