4.9.3 The Effect of Reinforcement Selection on the Low Velocity Impact
Properties in the Combination of E-glass with Basalt, Jute or Flax Fibres
The hybrid composite of G2/J3/G2 exhibits the highest of specific impact peak
force, followed by G2/F3/G2 and G2/B3/G2 as shown in Figure 4.27. The similar trend
was observed previously on the specific peak force of quasi-static indentation (Figure
4.17). The combination between the E-glass with jute fibres displays the ultimate
properties in comparison to the rest of the hybrid composites discussed in the present
