          La Vie en Rosé, Champagne Louis Roederer

     The celebrated heritage of Maison Roederer
     has been lovingly preserved over the years.
     Founded in 1776, it has remained an inde-
     pendent and family-owned business. Frédéric
     Rouzaud, a direct descendant of the founder,
     is the current managing director. Almost the
     entire 230 hectares of vineyards are classified
     as Grand Cru. This terrain produces twothirds
     of the grapes required for production, a
     unique state of affairs that that guarantees the
     finest quality.

     The pinot noir grape from Cumiéres when
     mature is used to create a rosé de saignée.
     The process is not about simply colouring
     white wine with a dash of red, but instead
     the must is macerated with the grapeskins
     over a period of several hours. The vat is then
