Brut Rosé Vintage
La Vie en Rosé, Champagne Louis Roederer
The celebrated heritage of Maison Roederer
has been lovingly preserved over the years.
Founded in 1776, it has remained an inde-
pendent and family-owned business. Frédéric
Rouzaud, a direct descendant of the founder,
is the current managing director. Almost the
entire 230 hectares of vineyards are classified
as Grand Cru. This terrain produces twothirds
of the grapes required for production, a
unique state of affairs that that guarantees the
finest quality.
The pinot noir grape from Cumiéres when
mature is used to create a rosé de saignée.
The process is not about simply colouring
white wine with a dash of red, but instead
the must is macerated with the grapeskins
over a period of several hours. The vat is then
Frédéric Rouzaud, a direct descendant of the founder.
