As winter is winding down here in North Carolina, we are experiencing all
kinds of weather: rain, ice, snow, low/high temps, and anything else Mother
Nature desires to throw our way. That’s living in the TarHeel State.
March Council is just around the corner. We are excited to be having this meeting at a winery,
a new venue for our state council. It is our hope that having our meetings at new and different
places will encourage renewed interest in our members showing new commitment to ESA. As
state president, I have tried to make the meetings a little traditional mixed with a lot of fun. An
example of ESA fun will be our annual convention to be held the end of April at the beach. The
hosting chapter, Beta Psi, has secured three houses right on the beach for our weekend. We are
trying unchartered territory and hope to report that it is successful. I think we are all trying to find
ways to renew interest in our organization by doing new and unusual things to lure our members
to meetings and to encourage them to invite visitors to join in and find out what ESA is all about.
Sending you a great big ESA hug from North Carolina!
