Air dryer

1. Even though, compressed air passed through
an aftercooler which causes condensation and
removes most of the water, filters are installed
to remove additional water, if any. However, if
a system requires further air treatment, air
dryer is preferred.

2. Air dryer ensures most or all of the water in
compressed air is removed before it reaches
critical components or processes.

3. There are three main types of air dryer
available which operate on an absorption,
adsorption or refrigeration process, will be
discussed in this section.
