Indonesia?
- How do your friends know that you are very proud of it?
- Yes, you have to describe it!
- Your new friend is going to visit you, but she does not know which
one your house is. How will she know your house?
- Yes, you have to describe it to her.
- Sometimes we are not happy withour classroom. Why don’t we
like it sometimes?
- Yes, it is dirty. The desks and the chairs are messy. The blackboard
is full of messy writing. The students sit on the desks. They speak
very loudly. And so on.
- How do your friends know that you don’t like it?
- Yes, you have to describe it.

6. Setelah peserta didik memiliki sedikit pemahaman tentang perlunya
kemampuan mendeskripsikan orang, binatang, benda, guru dapat
langsung menyebutkan tujuan pembelajaran dalam bab ini. Misalnya,

- Look, everybody. It is written here that we are going to learn to ...
(peserta didik diminta untuk membaca bersama guru tujuan yang
tertera di halaman tersebut) ... to describe people, animals, and
things. We will learn to describe for example the girls or the boys
in this class, our school, our classroom, our pets, what else? (peserta
didik melanjutkan menyebutkan yang lain-lain)

- What for? What do we describe our friends for? What do we describe
our house for? Who has a cat? What do we describe our pet for? Yes,
we describe them because we want to ... (peserta didik diminta untuk
membaca bersama guru tujuan yang tertera di halaman tersebut) ...
to make them stand out (menonjol, berbeda dengan yang lain), to be
proud of them, to promote them, and we sometimes also describe
them to ... criticise them. Why do we criticise our school? Because
maybe it is dirty, messy, looks bad, and so on.
