In this chapter I will learn to communicate states and events in the past, in
order
- to share the information with others
- to explain why things happened
- etc.

- Ajaklah peserta didik memperhatikan tersebut agar mengingatkan
peserta didik yang pernah mendengar atau terbiasa dengan cerita-
cerita tentang Kancil. Atau memperkenalkan bagi yang belum tahu.
Misalnya,

- The title of this chaper is ‘Mousedeer and Crocodile’. What is
mousedeer in Indonesian? Yes, Kancil. Have you read or heard
stories about the mousedeer? What are the stories about? The
mousedeer and Pak Tani (the Farmer)? The mousedeer and the
Elephant? What else?
- Now we are going to listen, to write, to read for other Mousedeer
and Crocodile? Does anybody here know the story? Ok, what did
Mousedeer do? How did he cheat Crocodile? How did he get what
he wanted?
- Dst.

Sebutkan setiap kalimat secara jelas, jangan terlalu cepat, dan
berulang-ulang, terutama kata kuncinya. Tidak perlu terburu-buru.
Ajaklah peserta didik menggunakan bahasa Inggris sebanyak-banyaknya,
dengan membatasi penggunaan kata-kata bahasa Indonesia. Misalnya,

- jika ada anak yang berkata ‘Ya Bu, saya tahu’, katakan ‘Can you
say that in English?’ How do you say that in English? ‘Yes, Mam, I
(kalau belum bisa ditunggu sampai keluar pernyataannya) know.’
- Jika ada anak berkata ‘Ya Pak, saya pernah baca.’ Katakan lagi ‘In
English, please! How do you say that in English?’ ‘Yes, I read it.’
