The lady smiled, took off my handcuffs and hugged me.
I hugged her back with my left hand. My other hand reached out for
the syringe. I only reached it by the tips of my finger and had to roll
it closer before I was able to grab it. My hands were shaking but
I firmly and quickly stabbed it into her arm. I pushed all the liquid
into her and pulled the syringe out. I knew what to do because
I have seen the people in white do it hundreds of times. She tried
to run to the door but collapsed right before my feet. I locked the
door and lifted the chair I was handcuffed to and banged it onto the
window. The sound of glass shattering echoed in my ears.
My adrenaline was rushing and I had to act fast. I searched her
purse, grabbed her wallet, and climbed out of the window. I tried
not to scream when the broken glass cut through my arms and
knees. My whole body ached and the pain I felt was unbearable.
After I reached the grassy ground, I ran as fast as I could even
though my hands and legs were bleeding profusely. I ran to the
fence, climbed across it and jumped down. I ran for a few minutes
and called a cab. I was going into town.
In the taxi, I saw a copy of a newspaper and asked the
driver for it. He sold it to me for a cheap price. I had to act as if
I were reading it but quietly and carefully used it to wipe the blood
of my limbs. My platelets had done their job. The wounds became
dry and my hands and knees nearly stopped bleeding.
I told the taxi driver to take me to a large mall. I went into
one pharmacy after another constantly running and panicking. The
purse provided me with more than enough money to buy anything
