“So, you sell jewels ?” I questioned. “I trade them, would
you like to make a trade ?” She asked and I nodded. I traded a
white silk robe with a opal and ametis. She told me that she lived
here since she was born with no parents, so a man adopted her
and left her all his belongings when he had died. She felt very lucky
and she sobbed a little. I didn’t know these things were going on in
the real world. I was taught that everything was as peaceful and
wonderful, like everything had been in the royal palace, but it
actually wasn’t. There were lots of people that were suffering.
I passed Istanbul. I crossed the black sea and continued
my journey to Moscow. People here spoke Russian. I ran into to a
market and I discovered something new, it had an awkward but
wonderful smell, it was quite strong. It was the smell of orange
blossom !!! I traded it with 4 bags of spice. There was gold in the
market too, but I didn’t need any gold. My family already had as
much gold as they would ever need. I had red betroot soup called
Borscht. It was red and looked creepy, but it tasted ok. I learned a
new Russian phrase “Это лучшее блюдо на земле” (Eto luchsheye
blyudo na zemle) which means “this is the best dish on earth”.
The waiter taught me this.
