Clean Power
        Clean Power Circuits

Clean power refers to a power supply connected directly to the battery.
There are two power circuits on the helm harness that are powered off the clean power source. They are helm power and
           junction box power.
        Helm Power
Helm power is used to power critical system components. This circuit is sometimes referred to as traditional clean power. Some
of the components powered are helm modules, steering system modules, electronic throttle and shift levers, joysticks, and
           electric steering helms.
        Junction Box Power
Junction box power is used to power non‑critical components that are connected through the junction box or junction box
connector. This circuit is sometimes labeled as or referred to as gauge power. On multiple engine applications, this circuit is
           powered from the starboard side.

                                                      ! WARNING

Avoid serious injury or death from the loss of DTS electrical power. The DTS power harness must be securely fastened with
cable ties to one of the battery cables near the battery. If not properly secured, the DTS power harness could be pulled off the
battery, resulting in the loss of electrical power and a loss of throttle and shift control.
IMPORTANT: Do not extend the lead length of the clean power harness.
Do not connect the clean power harness through a battery switch. Clean power must be connected directly to the starting
           battery.
           1. Connect the ring terminals on the clean power harness directly to the starting battery.
           2. Fasten the clean power harness to one of the battery cables with a cable tie.

        Clean Power Harness Types

        2‑Pin Clean Power Harness

        Overview
The 2‑pin clean power harness has a single power circuit and is fused at 5 amps at the battery.

                                                                        72671
        Application
           1. Outboard and MerCruiser gas: Used on single‑engine, single‑helm (SESH) and dual‑engine, single‑helm (DESH)
applications, where the 14‑pin data harness is less than or equal to 10.7 m (35 ft). On these applications, the 2‑pin
connector is located on the engine and is used to power the helm power circuit. Junction box power is supplied and fused
               at the engine.
