DNA / RNA Amplification Description
Direct PCR Description
Direct PCR
Direct PCR is a method which samples are directly used for PCR ampli cation without extracting the additional genomic DNA
from various samples.
· It o ers fast, convenient PCR ampli cation and simple PCR protocol.
· There is no need for time-consuming and expensive DNA puri cation step by allowing PCR directly from unpuri ed samples.
· A multiple number of samples can be quickly ampli ed through the PCR ampli cation.
· Expensive instruments are not necessary other than the PCR thermal cycler.
· There is no need for time-consuming and expensive DNA puri cation step by allowing PCR directly from unpuri ed samples.
· It can be used with a wide variety of sample types
(Blood, saliva, oral epithelial cell and nail, SW411-100, bacterium and yeast, SW412-100).
Comparison of Experimental Step between General PCR & Direct PCR
1) General PCR sample gDNA isolation PCR
(30 min 이상)
gDNA isolation and PCR ampli cation sample gDNA isolation PCR
(30 min 이상)
over 30 min.
- gDNA with high-concentration required / long-term storage available
- Complex procedures / time-consuming
- Various instruments required (Centrifuge, heating block and etc.)
except thermal cycler
2) Direct PCR
Simply used for PCR ampli cation directly sample PCR
sample PCR
- Convenient PCR ampli cation from various samples
- No other instruments required except thermal cycler
- Inability to preserve genomic DNA
