Fast PCR Description
Fast PCR
The COVID-19 pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus began late 2019 and has now spread to virtually every country in the
world. Prompt identi cation of individuals shedding SARS-CoV-2 to prevent further transmission is integral to an e ective public
health response, a measure predicated upon the widespread availability of rapid diagnostics for SARS-CoV-2. quantitative poly-
merase chain reaction (qPCR) is the current gold standard method for detecting SARS-CoV-2, as it o ers exceptional sensitivity,
speci city and high-throughput platform.
BIOFACT Fast qPCR reaction takes approximately 40 minutes to completely detect DNA or RNA of less than 500bp by extremely
shortening the denaturation, annealing, and extension time which takes more than 2 hours in normal qPCR reaction.
