Unforgettable Treasure

                                                 By: Aileen Pangestu Chandra

‘Clink!’ Hunter’s group celebrated their accomplishment of hunting most of the
B-Class monsters, the creepers in their base location that allowed them to receive
               a hefty amount of money.

The group celebrated their accomplishment by having a few drinks. As the
celebration came to an end, the leader drunkenly said, “Rest well tonight,
tomorrow we will go at dawn. Be prepared!”

The team members cheered, conveying their joy and confidence in the next day’s
quest. Everyone went into their rooms as I went outside to take a breather. Sitting
on the long bench log, shaking off the drunkenness. I looked in the stars, feeling
uneasy in my stomach. I shook it off thinking it was the alcohol. ‘ I hope nothing
bad happens tomorrow.’, I thought to myself.

Dawn came, and everyone brought their gear. We headed together to the portal.
The portals allowed us to go anywhere, boosting the teleportation magic cast by

our teammate. We, as a group, were heading to the location where the large
               population of creogers is.

‘Zooom!’, the portal screeched as we landed on the muddy grass ground. The
surroundings had an ominous feeling lurking in the dark. I was set in my defense
stance. We never know what will happen in locations like this, nothing can be
predicted. We have to risk our lives every day.

The group’s footsteps made a sizzling sound as we walked on the wet, just
rained-on ground. In the dark, we tried to move as stealthily as possible and we
were always prepared for anything. Not letting our guard down, we finally came
to a stop when the leader held up a closed fist, signaling for the whole team to
stay in place. Everyone became more on edge, and even more focused on our
               surroundings.
