actually gonna show up? Have you discovered that? Here's the
thing is that adding one more layer to that where instead of
saying, "Register for the webinar" you offer the same
information but you say, "Download this book" that you'll get
more people out of that same audience will get the information
because the barrier to getting in there is so much less that they,
in order for people to come to a webinar, they have to want the
information, but they also have to be available Tuesday night to
come and sit through the webinar and they have to be willing to
do that, right?
Dean Jackson: 01:27:51 If there's some way that they can get the information, signal
their interest in it by opting in for a book that offers the same
information, now you've got a bigger number of people that you
can communicate with using this conversational conversion
process and identify the people who are willing to engage in the
dialogue and invite them to, instead of this webinar that you're
announcing and people have to register and have a deadline
for, if you're saying to people in the engagement with them,
their portal, right to your office and you're able to say, "Hey, I'm
getting together with some people on Thursday to brainstorm
some book titles and outlines. Would you like to join us?"
Dean Jackson: 01:28:45 That's a model that we use for all kinds of things. That model of
using the book. That's all the opt in pages look like, just the
book. No other information. We're not adding anything to it,
you know? All it is is just so that people can see that what
they've got is an opportunity to get more information. Now, I
wanna be involved in the conversation with people who are
attracted to the message of, "Here's how to write and publish
your first book in just 90 minutes." Who would want to leave
their name and email address for that? What would you say
that people are interested in doing if they opted in for that?
Writing and publishing a book in 90 minutes. The fact that
they're...
Dean Jackson: 01:29:34 I don't care whether they ever read the book. The reality is,
most people are not gonna read the book. They found that out
when they started tracking Kindle and Cobo data that 58% of
the people that buy a book never open it. Has anybody done
that? Of course. You see it yourself. Even in the books that you
open and read, if you look at the popular highlights of any of
these books, chapter 1 has all of the highlights, chapter two has
a little bit, chapter three and on has nothing because even in
the books that people read, only 22% of the people who start
reading a book ever get past the first 100 pages. That's really
the thing is just use short books to start the conversation but I
