WHAT TRANSPORT IS DOING TO REDUCE THE RISK OF
COVID-19
• Vehicles to be cleaned/sanitised daily with antiseptic
wipes with a weekly deep clean of all vehicles by an
approved sanitising company
• Where possible adhere to current social distancing
rules
• Designated seats to be allocated to service users
• Avoid physical contact to minimise risk of touching
other and spreading any infectious diseases
• Face masks/disposable gloves to be worn by
transport staff at all times and discarded after use
• Disposable gloves to be worn after interaction with
each pupil if unable to wash hands and disposed of
• Alcohol based hand gel to be provided to staff if
unable to wash hands regularly
• Parents to bring pupils to and from the vehicle at
morning collection and afternoon drop off
• Ensure pupils are handed over to an appropriate
adult when arriving at school
• Passenger Assistants to determine whether your
child is well enough to travel to school
• Wheelchair users should be securely fastened in their
chair
• All handrails to be wiped clean and all obstructions to
be removed giving a clear path of entry and exit
