2. TECHNICAL FEATURES OF 4D56 ENGINE


            1. MAJOR SPECIFICATIONS (2014MY)
           The 4D56 Engine has a DOHC valve arrangement. It employs a common rail system that allows this
           engine to have lower fuel consumption and higher outputs, a reduction of exhaust gases and noises.
           The timing belt is used to reduce engine noise, and a tensioner maintains a constant belt tension.
           The balancer shaft used reduces engine vibration.

           2. TECHNICAL FEATURES

                                                       (1) Cooling Fan
                                                       A six-blades fan is used to increase the total airflow vol-
                                                       ume.

                                                       (2) Cylinder Block
                                                       To reduce the residual sand of a cast within the water
                                                       jacket, the water hole shapes on the upper surface of
                                                       the cylinder block are increased maintaining the current
                                                       change amount of the cylinder.
                                                       The cylinder liner sleeve have been deleted without
                                                       compromising durability.

                                                       (3) Cylinder Head
                                                       The cylinder head is a DOHC and corresponds to a
