Thermic fluid heater operator should check and monitor on regular basis,
1) Flame geometry / pattern inside the combustion zone
2) Stack temperature
3) Oxygen percentage in flue gas at chimney sampling point and
4) Regular inhouse checking of quality of diesel i.e Sp.gravity and
5) Random sampling of diesel tanker for ultimate analysis through accredited testing
laboratory.
Ultimate analysis includes,
1) Hydrogen %
2) Oxygen %
3) Sulpher %
4) Carbon %
5) Moisture content %
6) Ash content %
7) Specific Gravity %
8) Calorific value kCal/kg (Gross CV and Net CV)
