Milestone program

This is a new program. I am waiting until after October to begin communicating in length about it. The sum is that

at Savoy our mission statement is “Journey with Jesus to be like Jesus”? When does that journey begin? With your
child’s first breath. At Savoy we want to help you and give you ideas and tools to use at home – tools that help with
your child’s “journey”. We start with a baby’s baptism and that family receives a special book at that time. At the
age of two, your child/family will receive a special blessing during a church service and be given a Toddler Bible for
the child/family. The journey continues. At the age of four, children will be given a prayer pillow. At the age of six,

an apron that says “Serving Jesus”. In 3 grade, an Action Bible and at age 10 a prayer stone. Throughout all of
these milestones children/families are blessed during service and given tools to help their child “Journey with Jesus”.

Children’s birthdates

I would love to have the children’s birthdates here at Savoy. I do not have many in Shelby and that is where I get
them from. I know children love to get mail. How much they would love to be celebrated on their birthday with a
card? Please email them to me or the church office.

Happy Birthday Jesus party

We will be having an amazing birthday party for Jesus on Friday, December 6 from 6-8pm. There will be hot dogs,
birthday cake, birthday games, singing, Karaoke, a picture booth, and the true “Gift” of the world will be unwrapped.
Adults need to come with children. We will have games for children of all ages – even the adults can have fun! Sign
up for this event on our Facebook page or on our website. This is free to the church families, the community,
friends, etc.

Form for requesting childcare

I have forms in my box in the office. Please fill one out ahead of time for any childcare needed. And then please

wait for my reply that I have it covered. I will always do my best to get someone.

Block party host?

Yes, we are talking about going out into the neighborhood and co-hosting a block party. Would you be willing to get
involved as a block party house/neighborhood? This is a summer event in 2020. Think about hosting.
