Annual Chicken Noodle Dinner
Saturday, November 9, 2019 4:30-7:00 pm
The SUMC chicken noodle dinner has been an outreach of our church for over 70
years. Join us for dinner as a kick-off to the 150th Anniversary celebration of
Methodists in Savoy. All hands are needed, from our entire church community, as we
usually serve over 200 people each year. Thank you for helping us to continue our
mission of serving compassionately, united in Jesus Christ. Contact Michelle

Philippines Mission Trip

Thank you to all who joined the Mission Committee in supporting the
IGRC project to rebuild Sabang United Methodist Church. In addition to
$1,000 from the Missions Committee we are sending many donations
from the congregation. The team has been working hard to let churches
in our conference know of the need at Sabang UMC. Cindy recently
shared a "mission moment" with two local congregations, Bondville
UMC, who have been collecting during the entire month of September,
and Mt Vernon UMC, who gave $230. As much as the money is needed,
your prayers are needed for God to hear of our desire to fulfill the need
of Sabang's congregation. Please pray for the team as they travel to Camarines Sur October 13-28. There is much to
be done while we are there! We will be opening the 33 boxes which were sent in June. We plan to teach workshops
in sewing, kid's crafts and music. Tamera and Joyce, nurses going on this trip, will work with a Filipino doctor on a
medical mission. Most of all we will enjoy fellowship and connecting with new and old friends across the world.
