3 Organisational Set-up

The supreme body in the KNX organisational chart constitutes the General Assembly, an
annual meeting of the KNX shareholders to decide on budget of the running financial
year.

This budget is prepared by the Executive Board, representatives from the shareholders
voted into this Board by the General Assembly.

As also reflected in the KNX departments, further expert group work of the members
together with the association is divided into a Sales/Marketing and a
Certification/Administration/System leg., whereby:

Marketing related work is governed by the Marketing Board
Tools (a.o. ETS) related work is governed by the Steering Committee
Technical related work is governed by the Technical Board.

All Boards work according to a set of working rules. For e.g. the Technical Board, this
implies that any extension to the KNX specifications is formally submitted to a two-cycle
vote.
