How to enter into AVImark:

Be sure to add the packet to the patient history as an inventory item so that it is removed from inventory for proper inventory
count. To do this:
 Go to the patient’s record in AVImark
 Right click
 Choose new
 Enter the appropriate code: New Client F20028, New Kitten F20029, New Puppy F20030
o Note: With new CLIENT packets the cookie is automatically taken out of AVImark inventory. You don’t
have to enter it separately.
 Click enter
 ONLY on new puppies or kitten that are ALSO A NEW CLIENT enter the free cookie into AVImark F20027. This
means the new puppy/kitten that is ALSO a new client has TWO CODES.

The inventory on-hand quantity will update when the patient is checked out at reception.

Quiz/Drill:

1. Why do we do these packet presentations? Why do we do it in
exam rooms?
2. Why do we have it in the specific order?
3. Why do we make it only 4-5 minutes?
4. What might happen if we did not present these?
5. What if we did not train people do it the same way always?
6. Why is it important that we take the inventory out of AVImark and
notate it in AVImark?
7. Practice and Role play presenting at least on packet to your trainer
as a client. You get a pass when you can do it properly within the
time limit.
