“I feel like thousands of daggers, digging my heart into infinite pieces,
Pragnanth. The guilt of betraying my own friend will be the most
appalling unending punishment that I can ever get for my dreadful sin.
You left me no choice. You want to know why I did this? You know it.
Farewell”.
With a heart down in the dumps, I reached home and sat on my
davenport. My mind flickered with thoughts of Pragnanth.
“Any problem, honey?”
“Nothing. Feels like something’s bad going to happen to Pragnanth”.
Suddenly, I realized Layla, calling me non-stop. My thoughts flung back to
present.
“What’s it, Layla?”
“Mark, remember the day you came back home dejected, telling me
something’s ominous about to happen to Pragnanth? What was it all
about?”, asked Layla curiously.
A minute of pause reigned. I decided to bury the secret within myself.
“It’s nothing, honey. That day, I woke up to the calm ray of sunlight gently
touching my face. It was a dream after all”.
