Tipperary’s Holy Glen
Bordered by the Galtee and Knockmealdown mountains to the south, this
fertile, landlocked county is often overlooked by visitors, eager to move on
to the more dramatic landscape of the western coastal counties. This is a
pity, as Tipperary’s many captivating sights warrant far more than a
cursory glance. Chief among them is the resplendent Glen of
Aherlow, studded with holy wells and ruined abbeys. Also
