After the hectic activity of the Accident; Lomax and Jason returned to HQ to freshen
up. Krank had been going over the reports from Velgas 3 with Doc Harrigan. From what the
analysis showed the corpse had died from an embolism brought on by Gene Therapy
degradation. Dental records and DNA profiles matched one Stephen Westerton. That
seemed to be it. Their last suspect demised because of poor therapy treatments. He hated
leaving a case unsolved, but there was a more urgent need to get word out among the
Syndicates of how they all had been duped into violence against each other. They needed to
put a lid on that fast.

“Have I missed much?” Bellowed a deep voice; one that all in the HQ recognised. It was
Frankie, the Chief’s son, back for a visit. “I still have some recuperation ahead so won’t be
back on active service for about a month, did you catch the bomber or not?” Lomax and
Krank looked at each other and were about to speak when Mark Wiggins popped his head
round the door

“We have a suicide in the Bedlam Bronx area which one of you is going to respond?” he
asked. They all said “Me” and then broke out in laughter; Dreck took Hurden with him and
responded. Lomax brought Frankie up to speed and Krank got a message on his
communicator. It was from Sylvie; Victor was asking for him, could he come over. Krank sent
a reply to the affirmative and he went to pay a visit to the Widow Whelks.
