freighter exploded after it had made its first drop so we’ll start there. Where was the first
drop Hurden?” Krank asked smiling

“It was in the Buraxin Trade territories in the Trust, in the outer colonies by the rim… A
Protectorate called Praxia, one of two out there. The other is a closed world, only Buraxin
traders have any contact. It says it’s an Oh! It’s a colony of contagion respite. Most species
would not be allowed access. Buraxin immune systems can handle every known pathogen.
They must have ordered the machine to synthesise medications. It wouldn’t take much to
change its use to make toxins.” Hurden replied.

“Those machines are almost like factories and are usually shipped in a modular form.” Jason
added “they must have engineers to assemble them. If we can find out more about the
colony we could get a better idea as to what they are capable of. I hope the Chief’s Nephew
is good at his job” He concluded. Mark Wiggins came in with a report from dispatch shaking
his head

“Forensics has identified that corpse as Morgana Binder-Glass! Looks Like I owe you a Ten
spot” and handed the report to Dreck who smiled.

“Well that’s another suspect accounted for. Looks like our outsider is cleaning up his loose
ends” Dreck said handing Jason the report he added “Take a look at the contents of that vial
I found” Jason looked at the breakdown of the vials contents and whistled. It had no fewer
that twelve compounds all plant based and highly toxic

“Whoever came up with this brew really wanted to make sure whoever took it died quickly.
Even a drop in a scratch would kill in a matter of an hour maximum and the victim would be
delirious.” He said. Jenna took the report from him and read the other details

“Now that’s interesting. Traces of a type of silica in a scratch on her hand. Nothing in the
lock-up matches. But I have seen that before. Dreck can you hand me the Forensic reports
on the victim by the Docks” she asked. Dreck rummaged through the papers on the desk
and handed Jenna the folder. She took it and read the report. “Aha! I was right its sand from
a desert on Gildar. Were any of our suspects there in, say the last two months?” she asked.

“Morgana, Marco and Korin have all been there in the last months of their lives. I forgot to
add Marco as he’s just missing, but his travel records show he was there a week or so before
the body turned up at the docks.” Hurden replied. Lomax and Krank looked at each other

“Are you up for a trip to Bedlam Bronx Krank?” Krank nodded and
Lomax added “You four go back through this lot and see if there are
other correlations we are going to see a Song Bird” he said grinning.
The two of them left the HQ in Krank’s Vintage car leaving the others
looking perplexed.
