"Carltree” Bush is a smooth-talking South
erner from some outpost settlement in Mis
sissippi, in search of Northern culture. In
his two years at Moses Brown he has gained
great renown for his persuasive ability with
faculty members. As a student he has not
been outstanding, but many people who
have heard his conversation feel that he is
working under a strong linguistic handicap.
He spends much of his time collecting things
(preferably with re-sale value) or in the in
firmary with a multitude of serious (?) ills.
His favorite sport is swimming, both on the
school team and of another sort at Brown on
Saturday night. Apparently the scent of
magnolia blossoms and mint juleps on his
breath has had a devasting effect on quite a
                                        string of Yankee females!

                                                                    FRANCIS SESSIONS COLE, III

If you've ever wondered who that cute little
boy who stands in the middle of Lloyd with
an orange bib on so that passing cars can’t
miss him is, stop wondering. It’s Sesh Cole.
An able-bodied member of the class, he has
excelled in other activities, too. A rumor has
been circulating that Sesh has an apple tree
growing in his back yard and that each morn
ing he brings four polished apples to school.
Coincidentally, Sesh is enrolled in four diffi
cult courses and is a long-standing member
of the M.B.B.A. (Moses Brown Brownie As
                                                sociation). Seshy’s most daring achievement,
however, has been to keep the same girl for
the last 2 years, 6 months, and 5 days, as
he will proudly verify. This record will re
main for many years as a tribute to his
dogged determination. Each member of our
class wishes Sesh the best of everything at
                                                (ugh!) Amherst.
