Unified in Their Goal to
Help Others Catch Some
With a lot of new faces on both squads
and two new sponsors, the cheer
leaders got off to a spirited start. Eba’s
enthusiasm and organizational skills
made her the obvious choice for the
captain of both squads. Sponsors Mrs.
Reva Munro, mother of two former
cheerleaders, and Miss Cheryl Byers,
a former Cougar cheerleader, enthu
siastically supported the women as
they undertook different projects to
encourage the athletes. They assisted
the squads in developing their rou
tines and evaluated their practices.
The basketball cheerleaders enjoyed
an exciting season as the Cougars
played exceptionally well. It is always
easier to cheer one’s team to victory
when they are on top.
Not moving a muscle,
Eba Spowart stands
p a tie n tly as Lee
Reeves skillfully paints
a cougar paw on Eba’s
cheek in preparation
for the home game
against Pensacola
Christian College.
To the hoop, every
body, to the hoop,
everybody, slam dunk,
go beserk, watch the
mighty Cougars work!
Lisa Chambless finish
es the cheer with a loud
W-O-R-K!
