Team offers prevarsity
experience
New coaches seem to be a common thing around the
school. Tim Mosser, the new freshman football coach, and
varsity boys basketball coach seems to fit in pretty well.
"The kids are nice, and the faculty is real easy to get along
with. They make me feel at ease when I'm around, or
talking with them."
Despite some early-season problems, Mosser said he
was pleased with the season. "I worked with the team and
got to know them personally which makes a big difference,
we all worked together to make things right. It's hard for
anyone to learn a new coach's techniques in one season."
The coaches from all four teams said they would like
to give the younger athletes the experience they need to
play varsity football in the following years. Reserve football
coach, Gary Waldron stated, "The team wasn't mentally
prepared for their first game against Millard North, losing
it 0-26." Team captains were voted on, and sophomores
Doug Radik (defense) and Jeff Reid (offense) were chosen.
