LEARNING MORE ABOUT
GOD BY STUDYING
When one thinks of science, one may first think of plants,
complex math equations, or barely pronounceable scientific
rhetoric. While these may all apply, there is something about
the science division at the college that should stand out in
everyone’s mind. That paramount idea is knowing that stu
dents are learning more about God through learning more
intimately about His creation. Romans 1:20 states, “For the
invisible things of him from the creation of the world are
clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made,
even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are with
out excuse.” The world reveals truths about God to its in
habitants. Since science studies and analyzes the world, it
also reveals truths about God. These truths can lead to sal
vation or strengthen a believer’s faith. Dr. Jonathan Henry,
chair of the science division, said, “People usually think that
praises to God are only verbal, but doing His will, partly by
knowing Him through creation, is a form of praising Him.”
Science truly gives praises to God and testifies of His glory.

ter the infinite wisdom and
joy of the Creator.” Students go away from these science
classes and professors with a sense of knowing God better.
The science division continually maintains the balance of
studying the creation while worshipping the Creator. For
this, it is easy to see that the professors are praising God by
doing their jobs every day.
