With the changing of seasons, spring time cleaning out of all the cobwebs
built up from winter, warming temperatures and improving weather, along
comes state meetings, preparing for convention and many other ESA projects. March is always
        a busy month.

The ESA Foundation is no different, some of us are busy working with scholarship applications,
others working with incoming state presidents with selections for their state counselors and others
preparing for the election processes by reviewing credentials and answering questions from
counselors and others. This month we will review the Foundation credentials process as well as
        the Scholarship processes.

We are approaching the dues deadline which ensures members are eligible to vote in the 2018
ESA Foundation election. A Foundation member is considered “active” for 2018 and is eligible
to vote at the annual meeting if his/her dues have been received at the Headquarters office by
the close of the day on the last day of February. Dues received at Headquarters on or after
March 1 will be credited toward voting at the 2019 annual meeting.

As of the time of the writing of this article, the ESA website is experiencing issues that are
preventing online payments to the ESA Foundation. Please allow time for the paper donation
form to reach Headquarters before March 1 or call Headquarters to pay dues with a credit card

In March, Kristin Hall, from ESA Headquarters, will send credentials information to each of the ESAF
state counselors via email. It is important the state counselors know if members will be attending
the July annual ESAF meeting in Phoenix and if not, who will be carrying the associated proxy
vote. If you are unable to attend the ESAF annual meeting in July, please let your state counselor
know who you would like to carry your proxy vote. The state counselor will carry all unidentified
        proxy votes.

Ballots will be distributed to the state counselors on Tuesday prior to the annual ESAF meeting.
The state counselors will distribute ballot to the members and the proxy carriers prior to the
        opening of the ballot boxes.

If you have questions about the ESAF credentials process, please contact your state counselor
or the ESAF Vice Chairman, Kim Mandrell at kimzgreys@charter.net.
