Will March come in like a Lion? Go out like a Lamb? I hope it comes in like a
lamb and stays that way. I am so ready to get outside! I also will be traveling
to Denver March 1 for Leadership, so no Lion weather.
st
I am a little competitive. I have goals and dreams as most everyone does. Some of my goals
include running the 5K next year at the Memphis Marathon, no walking. I also hope to beat last
year’s St. Jude total in July at the IC Convention. I can’t reach either of these goals without
YOU! How can you help? Well, to train to run I’ll need your encouragement and maybe even
sponsorship. To reach the 20 million mark in July I need you to book it! Are you filling out the
booked and the completed forms? Please, fill those forms out! I also need you to try a new event
for St. Jude. I have 2 suggestions for you, A Classy Bag Affair or Laps for Life.
Laps for Life is like a Math-a-thon where kids get
sponsors and walk or run laps around a track or
gym. Last November the Charleston Illinois
Middle School sponsored a Laps for Life
program. The student council promoted the
event, the kids got sponsors and they walked
their laps in PE. $1500 was raised. Omega Nu
Chapter chaired the event. Very Easy! TRY IT!
