Power Trim Control

General Information
Any of the Quicksilver panel or in‑handle type trim controls (that are specified for use with Mercury MerCruiser sterndrives) can
be used with this Power Trim system. Refer to Mercury Precision Parts and Accessories Guide for a complete list. Install
the trim control in accordance with instructions.

Typical Quicksilver in-handle trim control

The power trim system allows the operator to adjust the sterndrive angle while underway to provide the ideal boat angle for
varying load and water conditions. In most cases, the best overall boat performance is obtained with the sterndrive unit
adjusted so the boat bottom will run at a 3° to 5° angle to the water.

The power trim system TRAILER feature allows the operator to raise and lower the sterndrive unit for trailering, beaching,
launching, and low speed (below 1200 RPM engine speed), shallow water operation.
