NC CUTTING RINGS CONT.

Pressure range:

Range Tube Nominal pressure
L: light 6-18mm PN 315 (bar)
22mm PN 160 (bar)

S: heavy 6-14mm PN 630 (bar)
16-25mm PN 400 (bar)

NC-clamping ring fittings are designed for a safety factor of 4 times on the stated nominal
pressures. Under normal conditions and temperatures up to 120° C the operating pressures
are the same than the nominal pressures.
Under highly dynamic conditions (vibration, pulsing, etc.) we recommend the “S“ range. A
stress free, solid mounting system is required.

Reduction in pressure:
Material 1.4571 allows a reduction in pressure as a function of temperature.
(DIN 17440, DIN 17458).

+ 50 °C 4,5 %
+ 100 °C 11,0 %
+ 200 °C 20,0 %
+ 300 °C 29,0 %
+ 400 °C 33,0 %

Attention: If different fitting and sealing materials are used, the lowest temperature as
indicated for each material is applicable!
