8.2.3  The conflict point and the conflict area at a junction

               The number of potential conflict points at an intersection depends on the:
               i.     Number of approaches to the intersection
               ii.    Number of lanes on each approach
               iii.   Type of signal control
               iv.    Extent of channelization and
               v.     Movements permitted
