“Chirp, chirp”, 5-year-old Bahram was sitting by his doorstep watching birds on trees
come and go while waiting for his parents to come home from a dungeoning quest.
All of a sudden, a loud roar came out from a nearby cave and the ground started
shaking. Everyone in the village was instructed to evacuate by the village guards and
go to the safe bunker. Bahram ran up to the guard and said, “But mommy and daddy
are still on the way home.” “They are already in a safe place, kid,” comforted the
guard.
After hours, Bahram’s parents still could not be found in the bunker. He asked his
grandmother about his parents’ whereabouts and his grandmother told him that his
parents were busy with their work and will arrive the next day. Instead of his
parents arriving at the bunker, visitors in uniforms informed Braham’s grandmother
about something which made her mourn.
“Crack”, bones were shattered and Bahram came back to his senses just to find
Arnold’s and Cox’s lifeless bodies lying on the ground.
Bahram’s eyes turned lifeless and filled with regret and misery. He fumbled onto his
knees, descending into madness.
“It’s happening all over again,” he said to himself.
Bahram felt like he had only one purpose in life: To defeat Sepron.
Bahram looked Sepron dead in the eyes and wielded his sword. Sepron roared, but
Bahram did not flinch. It only fueled him even more and he charged in like a
barbarian. He slashed away Sepron’s tentacles and ripped apart his torso. Sepron
would not go without a fight and bit off one of Bahram’s arms, but Bahram’s resolve
would not waver. He stood there and continued to stab and slash away at Sepron
until Bahram eventually came out on top.
Bahram won.
It was a sorrowful victory. Bahram came out victorious, yet lost his friends. He
fulfilled his purpose, yet he was empty.
