HEALTH AND SAFETY ON THE TRANSPORT

            • If your child has very complex medical needs and you
would like PTS Staff to keep a written record of your child
whilst on transport, please make a request to the
Passenger Assistant Team Co-ordinator and this will be
               assessed.

            • When Transport arrives at your home the Passenger
Assistant will phone upon approaching your home. You
will be expected to bring your child outside of the building
to meet the Passenger Assistant in the morning and to
meet your child outside of the building in the afternoon.

            • Passenger Assistants are not permitted to carry or lift
               children.

            • If your child has poor mobility and does not travel in a
wheelchair or have an appropriate walking aid, PTS may
have to suspend transport pending a Risk Assessment.

            • Children are not permitted to take any toys, games,
personal stereo, or such items on the vehicle for Health
and Safety purposes and to avoid unnecessary disruption
               to other passengers.

            • Children that carry any items deemed to be dangerous or
hazardous including sharp knives, may have their
transport withdrawn pending further advice from the
               professional services.

            • Children are not permitted to eat or drink on transport
for Health and Safety reasons. However, in the event
of extreme weather conditions this will be reviewed.
