1. Before getting pupils to read the text, get them to think about themselves.
2. Using a circle map, ask pupils to write their positive traits in the bubble and their negative traits outside the bubble.
3. Get them into pairs. Each pair reads about their partner’s traits.
4. Get pupils to brainstorm for suggestions on how they can improve themselves.
5. Pupils take turn to give their ideas.
6. Read the text and then discuss the main idea/content.
7. Get pupils to locate specific information and complete the blanks in the questions.
8. Teacher discusses the answers.
