6 Energy Details of the Plant

6.1 Background

Arabian Flexible Packaging Co. LLC produces flexible packaging solutions made from
polypropylene, polyester, nylon, and foil paper. The company offers laminated reels, cold seal
and heat seal lacquers, and extrusions; bags; clear, metalized, opaque, paper, and foil
laminates; and stand up, flat, boil-in-bag, and peel able seal pouches in clear and matt film,
metalized, and foil based laminations. It serves liquid and powdered beverage, confectionary,
medical, cosmetic, pet food, pasta, outer wrapper, biscuit, sweet, label, lidding, powder cube,

nut, coffee, cereal, dairy, pharmaceutical, general food, snack, household and personal care,
soup and sauce, spice, industrial, tobacco, and meat and fish market sectors in the United Arab
Emirates and internationally. The company was founded in 1982 and is based in Dubai, United
Arab Emirates. Arabian Flexible Packaging Co. LLC operates as a subsidiary of Al Ghurair.

An energy audit was conducted at the accommodation location of the people working
for Arabian Flexible Packaging.

6.2 Electrical Infrastructure and Consumption

The Arabian Flexible Packaging receives power from DEWA at 11 kV. The energy is then
distributed to feeders as per the room. The main incomer data of the LV room for both the
transformers is given below.

The average hourly consumption of plant is around kWh. Based on this average, we
have measured power consumed in the plant. Accordingly, the pie charts were made.
