Year 1s Desert Habitat Diorama

The Year 1 pupils have been learn-
ing about deserts in their Geogra-
        phy lessons. The new mid-term
        theme is also entitled “Desert”.
        The children have learnt some
amazing facts about hot and cold
deserts. They have been set very
        inspiring computer-based pro-
        jects, which included a Power-
Point presentation and a You Tube
video. We have been blown away
        by the children’s creativity and
        the tremendous effort that has
been put into this learning project.

                                            It’s Diorama Time!

The children were also asked to design a diorama! A diorama is a
three-dimensional exhibit. The objective of this project was to allow the
pupils to demonstrate their creativity and knowledge about a specific
animal or plant in the desert. The pupils did a stupendous job of pre-
                                            senting their desert dioramas!

Here are some pictures of their projects!

We had a wonderful day in school
        with the children. They worked
very hard on their projects which
        they presented to one another.

I would like to applaud all the
pupils for their efforts. The pupils
        were very confident in delivering
        their presentations and they re-
        sponded well to questions.

We look forward to the next Year 1
        visit to the school.
