I am currently an engineering student at the University
of Nottingham Malaysia, pursuing a degree in
mechanical engineering. I've always wanted to
understand how things in our society were made, and
apply that knowledge to newer theories and concepts,
helping the newer generations ach ieve a higher
standard in terms of industrial and technologica l
advancements.
Aside from engineering, I also have a passion for
understanding the basic political foundations of the
world. After I graduated from Tenby, I've had more time
to take part in debate tournaments and ch ampionships
at universities like Universiti Malaya (UM) and Asia
Pacific University (APU), where they run challenging
motions about economics, politics, human rights, etc.
These tournaments provide opportunities for
participants to improve their debating skills, as well as
their ability to adapt to newer knowledge.
Currently, I'm also a core member of a freshly
established non-governmental organization, namely
Youthnited Vision, a youth-led team consisting of 11 to
18-year-old students. We aim to make a positive impact
in the world by promoting youth invo lve ment in the
steps of achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs). We hold free monthly
webinars for children and teenagers with professional
speakers from different organisations that promote the
SDGs, motivating the youth of our generation to take
actions of their own. We've also had fundraising eve nts
in the past where we've raised ove r RM 10,000 for
Greater Action, a charitable registered organization
dedicated to supporting vulnerable co mmunities in
Malaysia. We're still growing in numbers and we’ll run
even more projects in the future, aiming towards
achieving a sustainable environment.
