                                             Hi   there!   It's   Xin   Yi,   a   Sunway   College   student   pursuing   a
                                             diploma   in   business   administration.   I’m   ve ry   passionate
                                             about   sales   and   marketing.   Especially   the   changes   that
                                             have   occurred   over   the   decades   and   how   companies   can
                                             embrace    those   changes   to   get   to   the   higher   leve l.   I   enjoy
                                             learning   about   the   growth   object ive s   and   issues   that   a
                                             company    is   facing   and   identify   ways    to   ove rcome   those
                                             problems,    looking    into   SEO,   social   media,    content,
                                             marketing   automation,   marketing    analyt ics,   and   how   they
                                             can   leverage   them   to   create   a   scalable   and   measurable
                                             process that improves the company’s R OI.


                                             I   believe   the   human   brain   is   a   crazy   place,   and   there   are
                                             two   aspects    of   product   and   growth    marketing    that
                                             fascinate   me    the   most.   First,   there's   the   concept   of
                                             consumer  logic,  which  can  be  both  rational  and  irrational.
                                             And  second,  the  challenge  of  communica ting  in  a  way  that
                                             persuades     and   convinces    consumers     always    requires
                                             optimization,   so   you’re   optimizing   for   something   that   is
                                             both   rational   and   irrational.   I   apply   the   same   thinking   in
                                             leadership    because     whether    you’re    connecting    with
                                             consumers  or  with  the  team,  you’re  co nnecting  with  the  fun
                                             irrationality   of   their   logic   –   to   bring   ideas   together,
                                             influence   an   outcome,   and   optimize   and   scale   for   future
                                             growth.

                                             Besides,   I   started   learning   about   the   stock   market   at   an
                                             early   age,   and   still,   I   am   learning   it   eve ry   day.    Undaunted
                                             and   possibly   bolstered   by   my   already   growing   experience
                                             of   sharing   success   and   failure,   I   co nfidently   continued   my
                                             investment  journey.  My  thirst  for  knowledge  started  to  take
                                             up  more  and  more  of  my  time  as  I  read  various  inve stment
                                             books   including   Jim   Slater’s   incredibly   well-written   book
                                             entitled   The   Zulu   Principle.   The   reasoning   within   the   book
                                             was   to   my   mind   so   very   sound,   understandable,   and
                                             convincing.   Jim   mentioned    such   sensible   things   as   a
                                             reasonable   valuation   for   the   expectation   of   future   growth
                                             in   earnings,   the   relative   strength   of   the   share   price ,   the
                                             non-fudging    of   profits,   and   ROC:   all   aspects   that   would
                                             become  hardcoded  within  my  thinking.  I  disco ve red  a  core
                                             of   strength   because   of   my   adversity,    which    drive s   me   to
                                             overcome    any   challenges   life   throws   my   way.   Drop   me   a
