Using Class 8 Statistics for sensitising children on social issues-
19-20 October 2019
Dr. Devika (Assistant Professor, Trivandrum Medical College) delivered an
interactive session on the title “Ente Amma – Ente Nanma”.
It helped the children to recognise the
burden of women’s work at home which is
unrecognised and less valued most of the time.
Children also conducted role plays which help
them to understand the gender-based roles
in the society and they discussed about the
necessity of gender-neutral attitudes. All the
sessions were interactive and all the children
were participating happily and actively. The
noteworthy thing is that the activities gave
opportunities for the entire children to come to
front and talk using mike.
