harmony and the dance accompanies the musical enchantment. Two
women who are thought to be singing or dancing halay and acrobats
accompany this music with extraordinary movements.
Saz, a string music instrument in Inandık vase and Hüseyindede’s
small vase are seen, the presence of frets on the stem of this instrument
[5, p.103] indicates that this instrument was played with clear notes.
However, the notation was not found in the Hittites. As is shown on the
vase, the saz, lyre and cymbals are the instruments most commonly used
in the Hittite ceremony and cult ceremony. Accompanied by this
instrument, they have both danced and sung. No public ceremonies were
seen without cymbals in Anatolia. Because, musicians who live in Hittite,
were understood that rhythm was the main part of the music and
ensembles which also gives enthusiasm to audience.
