Aishah Ghani, former UMNO

Women Leader and Malaysia's first

female senator

She proves that women's struggles are just

as important as men's

She became a member of the 'Majlis

Tertinggi Umno' in 1963 and actively fought

for the rights and welfare of women

including in the fields of education,

economy and politics.

During the same period, she also

represented Malaysia as the first woman to

attend the Perhimpunan Agung Pertubuhan

Bangsa-Bangsa Bersatu (PBB).
